More than 226,000 children and 104,000 adults are raped every year in Texas.  Sexual abuse is a deliberate act of violence and can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime.    Sexual abuse is an emotionally charged crime in which passions for prevention and prosecution run at a high level. Many people involved in sexual abuse work have been victims of sexual abuse themselves. These people take on the role of advocates and support persons who are victims of sexual abuse.   Our Crisis Center has trained staff and volunteers who are ready to assist and provide resources and support through this most traumatic time.
