The month of October is Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. This year, the Crisis Center held the Silent Witness Breakfast at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch with over 150 people in attendance. This program is designed to raise the awareness of domestic violence in our community. Many law enforcement, state and city officials were present. Guest speaker was Melissa Wilson, Fox News Anchor.

Each red silhoutte stands as a silent witness, representing someone who was killed from domestic violence in the state of Texas. Local high school students read the names and the stories of the children murdered in Katy.
